Did you do anything special to help keep the pick from rotating or moving? I got a pin vise and put a multipick dimple pick tip in it, and it would rotate around a bunch until I move the pick to the point where the grub screw locks onto it from the multipick dimple pick handle so I was thinking I might have to square small bits off for the collet to really clamp the wire into place.

Yes, a little flat should cure that. Don’t torque the grubscrew up too far though as the aluminium threads are quite soft – cutting a flat is safer.
